Discipleship
Volunteer
Every single week, our volunteers give their time and skills to serve others. Greeting, ushering, running sound — you fit in somewhere.
Who are volunteers?
The Village Chapel volunteers are people in the church who work together to serve others in the community and advance the Kingdom for Jesus.
How do I volunteer at The Village Chapel?
Check out the volunteer teams below, and complete a Getting Connected Card so we can know a little bit more about you. You can also find out more about The Village Chapel volunteer opportunities by attending our Leadership Luncheon on Sunday, August 15, 2010 or contacting the church office at (805) 733-2127.
What opportunities are available?
The Village Chapel has six areas of ministry that are made up of multiple volunteer teams who serve on Sundays and during the week. Sign up for one of the teams below and someone will contact you about your next step.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Welcome teams love creating welcoming environments for every guest at The Village Chapel. Sign-up to volunteer at our Welcome Table.
From operating ProPresenter and sound to trouble-shooting computer issues, the Tech teams use their skills in media production and technology to keep The Village Chapel on the cutting edge. You do not need any experience for the ProPresenter just a willing heart.
Care teams serve people in need of love and support through everything from providing meals to prayer and encouragement to community projects.
The Outreach team takes the Love of God into our community through visitation, neighborhood teams, and community outreach.
Children’s Ministry teams exist to unveil God’s love to the children and families of The Village Chapel. Volunteers serve on Sunday mornings with 6-week olds to 6th graders.
Student Ministry teams serve middle and high school students of The Village Chapel during the Wednesday night student gathering, Sunday School, and the yearly retreats and mission trips.
