Village Tykes 2′s and 3′s

Village Tykes Summer 2010:
Our Village Tykes our taught by an awesome team of some of our most dedicated workers. This summer join them as they take a Hands-on Bible Approach to learning more about the God who not only created them, but loves them with all His heart. This multi-sensory approach to learning the Word, not only works, but is so much fun (Sometimes I think the workers are having more fun than the kids). This quarter includes lessons entitled: God watches over us, God is Strong, and We can Talk to God. Please rest assured, your kids will LOVE this.

Village Kids Summer 2010:
Our Village Kids Church is just that. Church for kids!!! And our kids love it. We Worship and Praise the Lord, take offering, play games, go over Scripture Memory Verses, Do Object Lessons that reinforce the Verse of the Day in a visual way, and finally (and most importantly) are taught the Bible by gifted and dedicated teachers. This summer we are continuing our study of Old Testament Bible Stories. They are the gems we all grew up on and are so desperately needed. We are currently in Unit 3 entitled “God’s Mighty Hero’s” which covers Judges, Kings and Samuel. We will end the summer with Unit 4 “God’s Word in my heart” where we will dive into the Psalms, Proverbs and Major and Minor Prophets
UPCOMING CHANGES STARTING SEPTEMBER 5th 2010
In an effort to reach more children with our Kids Church messages, starting September 5th 2010, we are making some changes in our children’s ministry classes as follows…
1st Service:
Tykes (Preschool) will remain as is, with the exception of including 4 year old with the 2’s and 3’s.
Kids Church will remain the same as the number of children is small and operates more like a small group.
More Obvious changes will takes place 2nd Service:
Tykes class: (Preschool Ages 2-4)
Kinder-2nd grade class will be added. We will be meeting in a “New classroom” near the Tykes room. We will be using the “Hands on Bible” Curriculum that the Tykes use. The format will be the same, just Age appropriate.
Kids Church- (3rd-6th grade)- Same format. Same curriculum. Same room.
We are really excited about these changes. It serves both of the older groups perfectly. The Kinder-2nd grade class will get more hands on, multi-sensory learning with a one-one-one teaching style. It includes interactive learning with Bible lessons that they see, hear, smell and sometimes even taste. A craft is always included along with worship, games and snacks that they create!
We are equally excited about the changes that will be made in Kid’s Church. Now, teachers can tailor their lessons for an older ear and really challenge these older kids to “live for Christ.”
Please be in prayer as we make this transition. God has already provided 3 new teachers this week and we have no doubt that HE will provide everything necessary (He’s just good that way).
