Our Vision
Ministry Vision
The Village Chapel was started out of the Calvary Chapel movement where the Word of God is taught verse by verse, chapter by chapter. We base everything we do on God’s infallible Word. Our vision is to see our people take the Word of God that is taught to them and live that out on a daily basis. We have identified four areas where we believe people should Live the WORD of God; Worship, Outreach, Relationships, and Discipleship. These make up our core values and every decision we make is filtered by these.
We also desire to be a Family Church. This means that we want every generation worshiping at The Village Chapel. We feel that there is life and wisdom to be gleaned from every person from the cradle to the grave. While we have age specific ministries we keep our main ministries multi-generational.
We are committed to reach the Lost and Hurting of the Lompoc Valley and beyond (Acts 1:8). Jesus said that He did not come for the well but for the sick (Mark 2:17). He also came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). We will always be a church that reaches beyond our comfort zone to minister to those need it most. It may not be pretty and it may get messy but it is most needed.
Our Core Values
Our Desire is to be a church that Lives the WORD of God through Worship, Outreach, Relationships, and Discipleship.
Worship
We are passionate about worshiping God. It is through times of Prayer, Praise, and the Study of His Word (verse by verse) that we are drawn closer to Him.
Outreach
We are committed to be a church of Inviters who create an Inviting Atmosphere where frequent Gospel Invitations are given
Relationships
We want to encourage our people to take this journey of life and faith together through times of fellowship and small groups.
Discipleship
Our heart is to train up and send out disciples. We believe this done by taking God’s Word and putting it into action through Ministry Teams.
